I need to get a new car (old one broke) and it is down to a B6 A4 1.8t or passat 2002+ 1.8t. I want a 5 or 6speed trans, AWD would be nice but i dont know if i can afford one. What are the pros and cons of both? which way would be better for me. I am going to mod which ever one i get, and my budget is around 8 grand. Help please.

If you plan on modding for more power get a quattro, once you reach 250-300whp all you will end up doing is spinning the front tires all the time if you go FWD.
