About to do my valentine 1 installation
Soo I bought my radar detector but now it comes to installing the damn thing. I want to hard wire it in my 03 Audi A4 3.0 Quattro Sedan. I got some pictures of the installation but I don't know how to put the wires in the fuse box. can someone help me PLEASE????

I take it that write up is not you and you just need help w/ the fuse box area...
Assuming that you've have the hard wire kit and that the link to the install is the route you wanna take. Here are my tips. And by the way, I have hardwired mine & IMO, that route is the most easy & clean hardwire method (basically routing the wire in the headboard, down the A-Pillar into the fuse area, then locating the V1 just above the RVM)...

The entire setup is also easily removable (for future relocation to another car).
To tap the hot wire from the fuse box without removing the fusebox and searching for the correct wire to splice...
I used a "fuse tap" from Radio Shack ($1.50 for 4).
And also these right-angle quick disconnect crip-on connectors ($1.69 for 4)

The tap & connector will get you into a hot wire @ the fuse box that is clean, secure and easy.

V1 Installations
do you have a picture of the fuse box with those connectors installed. I am not good with this stuff and i just get really scared to touch my car because I don't want anything happening to it!

Here ya go...
I forgot that I actually used the straight connector (in lieu of what I recommended to your earlier/angle connector) bent down so that the fuse area cover could go back on...It's there near the bottom. The Ground is there w/a blue ring crimp connectors and also there in the back is the hardwire connector box. Hope this helps

what you mean straight connector? what does it look like? I am sorry that I am soooo annoying right now, I just don't want to ruin my baby! I know how to get the wire tucked into the A pillar and get the wire to the fuse box area but I don't know how to connect it. That's all!

The pic of my fusebox...
shows the staight quick connector on the bottom of that pic...It looks like this.

really it's the female end that will connect to the fuse tap below.

This fuse tap basically cradles the end of one the fuse blades. When you hold the fuse tap and a blade fuse in your hand, you'll know what I mean.
Well anyways, find a circuit that is switched on when your ignition is on. I forget which one I used to tap, but the homelink fuse is a good one. Make sure you still use an in-line fuse for your V1.
Don't worry about asking too many questions...I'm just glad I can help

also you mentioned about bending something. What do I have to bend? Do you think you could do a write up for me? If you don't want to you don't have to. Also do you have any more pictures that you think could help me.. For the wire tap I think I am going to do the same as pictured in your car.
