Default Ack! Car wouldn't start this morning. Dead battery, I think...

Already called Roadside Assistance, so we'll see.

It was doing something kind of strange though. When I turn the key, it tries to turn over (really weak), then when I stop, the speedometer and odometer flutter for a couple seconds and make a rattling sound, almost like their twitching. Anyone ever have this when the battery went dead? I'm hoping it's just because they're getting a weak elec. current, and not something more serious. Any ideas?

The truck should be here in an hour, so we'll see...

Nice way to start the work week!!! Ugh...

Default I've seen cars with dead batteries do that before...but never the twitching sound...

My A4 has actually done that once but was no where near a dead battery. It acted like it was waking up out of sleep mode cuz it had been sitting for a while. weird.

Default Must just be what they do...

I had Roadside give me a jump, but when he tested the battery he said there were some faulty cells. I took it to the dealer and had them replace the battery (under warranty) and it's all set to go.
