Default Adjusting Headlight Levels

I just installed E-Codes, and was wondering if the adjustment screws on the top of the headlights are enough to get the headlights to the right level or would I need to take it in to the dealer and have them VAG it to the correct level?

The headlights are very off right now (driver side too high, passenger side too low), and turning the adjustment screws doesn't seem to do much. Not sure if the screws have very fine threads and would need many many turns to get the headlights to move, or if my adjustment screws are just broken? These headlights were slightly damaged during shipment, and I was able to fix most of the things I can see...not sure if this is another thing I have to fix?

Default If you had factory xenons, they must be in the "setting position" before using the adjusters. more.

Place the headlights to the setting position with VAG-COM, then be very careful with the adjusters as turning them to the limits can damage them. Try this, take off the housings, looking inside, turn the adjuster screws so that they are in the middle of the adjustment range. Re mount the housings and they should be fairly close to each other aim wise. Now knowing ware the adustment is inside, it won't take alot of turns to fine tune the aim.
The outer adusters are up/down and the inners are side to side (or vice versa).

I just aimed mine with the manual adjusters and never used a VAG-COM.

Default I think the amount of adjustments needed depends on the history of the lights...

If they were properly aligned from the previous application (ie, were on a car before), adjustments should be minimal, if at all. If they've never been installed, you might need to adjust them a fair bit (which I did).

So you just kept turning the screws until the lights are leveled?
