Default Advice for amp/single 10" sub? Low-effort question: just post in subject line!

Not trying to go too high-end (Focal etc).. thinking more along the lines of JL, Infinity, or Eclipse. Any other brands I should be looking at? Maybe Image Dynamics?

Thanks guys! =)

Default Personally, I would go with a single 10" to 12" sub...

for quality sound and just get a good 4ch amp or dedicated sub amp. You also want to upgrade speakers (front only) with a nice 2-Way component set.

Maybe try Helix 10" or 12" sub at Autophile. Xtant, Dynaudio, Focal (K2 Power or Polyglass series),.. are some others that come to mind.

Default A single 10" Image Dynamics works for me....

Pictures in my picture poster. I had a JL 12W6 in a much larger box before and this sounds better, but does not go as loud. Very happy with this setup.

Default nope not at all...

just takes some fine tuning of the amp crossover... kicks when i want it too, hits the low notes very very clean, and not too loud when i dont want it too loud... very tight bass as well... plus if i ever want it super loud, i can just adjust the gain in the back and itll pound! overall im happy with em :-) Only drawback to having two of em is that theyre quite heavy!
