Default Aftermarket Exhaust....I searched the archives already.....need your input!

Ok, I just got my '03 A4 1.8TQM. I'm looking for info on the Supersprint system, the GHL system, the APR system and any others that you may have feedback on.

I had a '98 1.8TM that I had a Supersprint system on. I see that Supersprint makes a system, but it hits the pocket hard! ($1400). Does anyone have this system? I liked how quiet my previous system was, so I'm looking for something similar.

How does the APR system sound? How is the quality? Is the Supersprint worth an additional $400? The Supersprint doesn't even include the downpipe in that price, while the APR one does.

What about GHL? Does anyone have this installed yet? Does is include a downpipe? What does it sound like? Is the quality comprable to SS?

Can anyone provide feedback on any of these systems? I need advice! TIA!

Default Some input....

Someone here did get the SuperSprint exhaust system (not installed yet I think). It is a Catback Exhaust (includes downpipe). I am pretty sure that is what was said. They just don't have it in the US yet. He bought it directly through the US Importer/Dist. though.

SuperSprint seems nice. They make good exhausts for many models. But it looked a little to simple/plain for my tastes.

APR was my top choice, then Neuspeed... But I ultimately decided to go with GHL instead (I liked the polished SS/seamless weld finish they have). It does include the downpipe. I should have it installed by next Wednesday.

Thing is; all of these exhaust systems are going to be pretty comparable to one another. You really just have to make a decision from the info you have. Obviously, seeing them in person, hearing them, can help a lot. But other then that, it'll just come down to you making a choice.
Sometimes it gets harder to choose with too much info. Plus, when you are after performance with an exhaust, "loudness" is inevitable for the most part. If the idea is to get air flowing away as fast as possible. Then sound levels take a back-seat to that.

Default Abt is one of the quietest. Very much like a stock TT.

Much deeper tone but not loud at all, not even under heavy load.
Search Abt exhaust from about a month ago and you should find my review.
