Air Conditioner Shutting Off

Air Conditioner Shutting Off
My air conditioner keeps shutting off or not even starting during extremely hot weather. I used a VAG-COM and pulled the following fault,
01273 - Fresh Air Blower (V2)
41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent.
Does this mean I need a new blower? Is this blower located behind the glovebox? Thanks.

The blower motor, has a power supply module built into the motor, and
runs on a pulse width modulated voltage from the power module. The A/C control in the dash panel, controls the blower speed and on/off state.
The DTC you have results when the A/C control does not obtain the expected effect because the blower is not delivering air flow, either from no voltage, or the blower is mechanically jambed/blocked.
The power module on the blower is probably bad, but can only be replaced with the blower motor assembly.
Yes, remove the glove box, the blower is forward of the box.
See Bentley manual.

I have the glovebox off and will be removing the blower tomorrow
all the connectors and wires that go into the blower look good. Before I order a new blower is there anything I can look for or test to make sure it is the blower itself causing the problem?

Yes, there are several checks possible. Do you have a VAG-COM?
Measuring block 013 shows 1. Blower activation in percent, 2. shows Blower speed, "V2 in RPM Calculated via ratio of signal from Fresh Air Blower Control Module J126 by operating and display module, Climatronic Control Module J255",
In addition, various blower motor power supply circuit resistance checks can be performed. Ref: Bentley Manual.

Thanks Finally someone with some data on this code... my code...
01273 - Fresh Air Blower (V2)
17-10 - Control Difference - Intermittent
I'll follow my Bentley but it sounds like the A/C control module rather than the blower. My Leds for the fan cycle up and down and the fan doesn't blow.
