i 100% need a new air filter on my car. a while back i put in a k&n and due to the amount of oil it blew my maf. i will never install another one in any of my cars. i have been looking at the itg filter. it looks like it is of far better quality and does not contain soo much oil. anyone have this filter? any problems with it? cheapest place to purchase? thanks in advance

I bought one from AWE, back when they did my GIAC install.

At first I though same as you about the ITG verses K&N.

I ran the ITG for about 2 months, and was curious about its oil effect on my MAF sensor.

I pulled my MAF sensor and it was fine.

I then opened up the airbox containing the ITG filter. The ITG oil looked like it leaked out of the filter and was now all over the bottom of my airbox. Sticky like syrup, the oil had collected up dirt and debris, and had a funky smell.

I removed the ITG, and spent some time cleaning the residual oil from my airbox.

Since I did not feel(butt-dyno) any difference between the ITG & OEM filter, I put back a new OEM paper filter. Mainly because of the excessive oil the ITG leaked all over the bottom of my airbox. :O(

that was the response i was looking for. these aftermarket jobs are way 2 lubed up. i am just going to purchase a new oem filter. thanks
