Need some help with this. Bought a VW/Audi VAG-COM code reader and it gave me this fault code. Cleared the code and then it re-appears after a few seconds. Took vehicle to dealer and told them of the fault code, so of course they had to scan it for themselves for $60.00, to get the same fault code. Technician says he reset it as it was a sporadic bad connection fault that was triggered. Same thing code re-appears after a few seconds. Dealer says to bring the vehicle back and it should take approx 1-3hrs to fix the bad connection.
I believe the connection is bad at the ignitor for the drivers side curtain airbag. Can't find the ignitor or access to it, or is there another connection for this airbag. I keep reading about the bad conectors under the seats and the correct fix, but can't find anything really related to this problem and a possible solution. Don't wanna pay dealer if it is a simple bad connection......any help would ge greatly appreciated.....
