Default All 4 of my RS4 reps are discoloring :(

Washing the car yesterday, I noticed that all 4 wheels have some sort of discoloring. White/dark spots are turning up all over the place and between some spokes are starting to slightly bubble (not noticeable unless close up).

I thought it may have been something on there that could be washed/cleaned off but nope, it's the paint. I called one place, refinish 18" wheels cost $160/wheel! Forget that. New ones cost $175/wheel.

What to do now... Thinking of refinishing them myself but wouldn't be doing that till Winter when I have the stock wheels on. Hmmm...

Wow that really sucks, past 1yr finish warranty? Have you tried calling to inquire?

Default yeah, around here average is $150-$160/wheel. Going to probably refinish during Winter myself.

Tons of write ups of people refinishing their wheels by themselves with great results. And certainly cheaper than $150/wheel. I'd probably spend $50 or less in materials.

Yeah, I put them on May '07 so no more warranty. I might call/email to see what they say though...

Default Chrome!

:-)

Seriously, maybe a silver finish that looks like the BBS Diamond Black silver. I had some RGRs and I constantly got compliments on the color.
