above certain speeds, the color gets left behind ;o)

too eleventy mph and in 3rd gear causes paint streaking

Bummer. 2nd on Powdercoating. Can be cheap if you find a good place.

Default Sorry about that. fwiw, I've had very good results with "Ultra" BBQ Black paint on wheels.
Kinda ghetto, but with black you can paint easily with the tire still on the rim. I'm feeling the whole black rim look too.
