Default and where would I buy wheel weights?

I would assume a tire seller.....does each wheel get 1,2? I seem to remember each having 1.
I did just buy some better quality hub rings. I remember one kind of cracking on the edge as I put the wheel on the hub.

Default by hand....just put a good amount of torque past 75 and you should be set...

but I would definitely get a manual torque wrench that goes up past 100ft-lbs. They can be had for $30-$80 in the "that'll do" category.

Default just pay to have the wheel re-balanced...

if it's done right you'll only have 1 or two weights and they won't be across from each other. Also, if you remember hearing the ring crack that's not good. That's probalby your problem. My flik's rings seated really well in the wheel so I'm not sure how yours cracked. If they seated well they should not have moved. Did you use the guide pin to put the wheel on? That helps take some stress off the hub and lines up the bolt holes for you.

Default NooB!!!!! where have I been all these years. Guide pin?

I'm gonna pull and inspect each wheel as soon as the rings come.

Default No, they can be completely different....

For some wheels, the center bore is the same size to allow maximum fittment across different models. THere's a chance that one set of hubcentric rings would work for various wheels.

On the other hand, the wheel manufacturer might have a hubcentric ring that's specifically designed for proper fitment to Audis. I know that I have hubcentric rings that were made by OZ specifically for the OZ SLs.

You can give TireRack a call and get their opinion if the hubcentric rings you have would be best for the new wheels.

I would suggest aluminum ones are better than plastic ones.

Continentals are known for flatspotting which would go away with driving.

Yes it does. Have you ever seen a plastic one melted to the hub before?

Default Ege "Racing" uses plastic hub rings which oddly enough cannot be used in racing at all...

If you are driving aggressively and braking aggressively they can melt and deform. I'd take yours into a machine shop and have them made of aluminum or what not. For vibration, I agree it is likely a balance issue. cheers! Mike
