To all of you considering the Phatbox...

Just mp3 about 25gigs or so. that is not ripping cds that i have bought.
I never listen to nearly any of it. I tend not to listen to mp3s in my home. On my laptop i will while doing something away from home. But i would rather crank a cd through my stereo setup. mp3s don't have the quality. Playing mp3s on a large stereo makes them sound liek crap compared to a master cd. and SACDs sound twice as good as regular cds.

Re: For 800 i wouldn't buy phatbox, but i would integrate a PC in the trunk and lcd upfront.
Now that is a COOL idea, but certainly the idea might involve some sort of investment greater than $800 don't you think?

If you can stand listening to...
the same 100 tracks in your changer over an over, good for you, I can't.
I love the phatbox. 10 GB and counting... All my ripped CDs, all my downloaded music, dynamic playlists (recently added music, etc), voice navigation, track/artist info, no CDs, it's awesome. 8 hours of music in the changer? I've got hundreds in my phatbox. I can drive to CA, spend the weekend there, and drive back without hearing the same track twice.
