Alpine IVA-W200
<center><img src="http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/products/2006/500/h500iVAW200-f_.jpeg"></center><p>This little baby caught my eye in the latest Crutchfield magazine, so I went to their website, and it says it doesn't fit in the A4. Can anyone figure why? It's a double din receiver... so it seems to me like it should pop right into the double din radio space.
Anyway, I'm not currently in the market for something like that, but I would love to have a really solid double-din DVD receiver (That could play back movies!) that fit nicely, looked good, worked well, etc. I would NOT want a single-din with a flip-out screen - I don't think that would look that great, and I don't want to have change the style of the dash. It will fit provided you have a Metra trim kit (or something similar)
I have a Kenwood DD unit with Nav which I love. It can play DVDs while the car is in motion. Have you looked at the Kenwood? It has somewhat of a bigger screen. THey are both nice units.

i don't get it... isn't our factory radio double din?
so if the alpine or kenwood is double din, why doesn't it just fit right in the same spot? If I have to have some aftermarket trim setup, I'm far less likely to make the switch.
The Kenwood looks quite nice though.

OK now that I've seen the pics of your setup in your picposter...
That actually looks pretty solid, and quite factory. I've seen a lot of kits that just look like crap, and unless it has an OEM feel and look, I'm not interested.
Here's a question... I have the bose system in my car. Will the radio antenna and factory amp/sub woofer work well with the Kenwood/Alpine systems?
