Alright...this Audi climate control is really starting to piss me off.

The sensor in the mirror responds to headlight intesity for cars behind you and dims the mirror accordingly.
Now, granted, I haven't gone thru the wiring of a 2004 with auto lighting, but it would make no sense to tie the headlights into the mirror. Plus, all of us 02 and 03ers have the ability to add the mirror (there's a plug in the overhead console for power).

how would the Auto headlight feature work on a Canadian car? It is still an option on the quattro's just not on the CVT's. So somewhere there is a sensor to turn on the headlights in a Canadian Audi. Man I need to find this stuff out so I can tell them to put the auto in my car. They are really dragging their feet. If I can find out and tell them how to do it they will know I'm educated on how it works and they will stop screwing me around.

It appears that if you set the temperature to "LO" then the system no longer adjusts the fan to where it wants...it stays at whatever bar you set it. I tried it out and it seemed to work this way.
What I am still confused about though...is the "Auto" feature. If the system will adjust the fan speed even when not in Auto mode...then what is Auto mode for? I thought that's what Auto was for...to adjust the speed of the fan to get the inside car temperature to the setting you choose.

As far as auto goes, I think it's just a design flaw. It seems to adjust the fan speed as if it were on AUTO mode even when it's not on Auto mode. I don't think there's a logical explanation for it...it's just a bug.
I think it would be cool to have fahrenheit in the driver info display and celsius in the HVAC display...sport the Euro look and impress everyone who tries to change the tempterature ("oooh...it even goes to half degrees!"). However, unfortunately the two are linked, so when it says Fahrenheit on the driver info display it must say it on the HVAC display too.
Where are you located, HX?
