I know this is the A4 forum but i thought i'd give it a try. I have a audi tt 1.8T, last week I put on a voltage stabilizer box from sun automotives. The next day my alternator died, I've since garbaged the voltage stabilizer and installed a re-built alternator. The new alternator lasted for about a week and it's dead too. Some have said it's a coincidence or do i have some electrical issues?
Thanks if anyone can help.

That thing scares me a little. I've never heard anything about squeezing more power out of your electrical system, but it sounds like a damaging thing to do, and if your electrical was working OK before that, then it sounds to me like the voltage stabilizer may have damaged some component related to the battery/alternator, that's causing alternator failure.
I'd say it might be worth trying a brand new alternator to see if it works, and maybe a brand new battery as well, but if the problem comes back you'll have to have a professional take a look at the system to find a burned component.
