Default Another coolant leak question

My car is under CPO warranty, & I too am having a slow coolant leak. May be flange, but I can't pinpoint it yet. Car hasn't been to dealer since CPO warranty took effect, so if I do take it in to look for the leak, will it be covered? I can never get a straight answer from the dealer about what is & isn't covered under CPO. Pleas help. TIA!

If it is the flange, there is a TSB out for it and should be covered.

If it is the flange leaking, you shoould see some orangy kind of liquid, just behind the cylinders. At least this where my leak was.
But the mechanic also told me that the water pump was leaking as well. In order to see this, you have to remove the cover at the bottom of the car.

i has a coolant leak as well. it seem like it was coming from underneath the expansion tank. now with the info from you guys, when i take it in, i will ask about the timing belt and water pump.

Default Cool, didn't know there was a TSB on it.....

Judging from evidence on my belly pan, fluid is dripping from the resevoir area, but no residue on the resevoir exists. Am I right that the flange is somewhat close to the resevoir?

Default The flange is in the back of the engine.

If there is no leak from your expansion tank, probably the flange is leaking.

the TSB is for the plug in the engine block on drivers side, not the flange

Oh right, Audi never issued a TSB for this but it is a known issue and Audi is aware of it.
