so i parked my car on the street [meter park]
and the meter was reading "FAIL"
which saved me from putting 25cents
i come back 10min later, i see a freaken ticket on my windshield! so im thinking why da fug did i get a ticket for? the meter was broken! and i see the ticket and it says "Missing a front plate" $55.
omg... it wasn't even a moving violation. truely, NYPD in Flushing have nothing to do but pulling over or writing a parking ticket all day.
Is there a way i can get away from this "NO FRONT PLATE" ticket?

No matter what, you still need to pay the fine. I remember when equipment violations were 25 bucks in NY. Just a couple of years ago. Were you at the municipal lot by main st? They just looove to give tickets in that lot.

I got a ticket once in Roslyn, LI while my car was parked overnight on probably one of the quietest streets on all of LI.
A way to get out of it would be to go to your local police department and report the plate missing/stolen. Then go to the DMV and file the paperwork. They may issue you new platers. I didnt want to do this because i have personalized plates at the time and i didnt want to forfiet them.

It is here in SoCal. I just paid my second one w/o having to get proof (but I did not have the original ticket and received a notice. I just paid online). But if I did have to get proof, I would just place it in the lower grille, or stick it on the bumper, before having police or DMV inspect it. Or say it fell off, or was stolen recently.

if its a fix-it tick like in california you onlyy have to so prof of correction.when you go to the court someone comes out and inspects to see if you fixed it or not. why dont you just put some velcro strips behind it when you done pull everything of no problem so not hurt the paint.
