actually, the stock Pirelli P6s were defective...
The dealer swapped on the Michelins around 4k after I convinced them that no amount of road-force balancing could eliminate the vibrations coming from the tires. Since I had previously owned an '02, they could not convince me that the vibrations were endemic to the car... they finally caved and gave me my choice of tires.
FYI, there was a known QC problem with Pirellis when they were being installed at the port last year... it came up here a few times. Glad my dealer made good - AoA tried to bury the issue.

My ContiSport2s were bald at 8k. The dealer covered half the cost of the new PZeros
and mounted, balanced, and installed them for free.
I didn't have a purchase history w/them, but I gave them 5 referrals...so they like me.
