Default Actually it was a fuel line...

Car bottomed out and the fuel line ruptured, not much you can do after that. Now he has a good excuse to do the 2.0 conversion!!! Sorry to see it go though, that car was a beast. Loved driving it, very smooth, extremely fast. Most important thing is that he's okay and he handled the situation very well.

Default Whoa...car bottomed out? Was there a hump in the track or something?...

It seems like the shocks and bump stops should stop the bottom of the car from ever hitting the ground. Must have been one of those one in a million freak accident type of things...
Glad he's OK though, I bet it was a real scary situation...

Default That may explain why Stasis runs 700lb front and 1000lb rear rates. If you give a car less....

suspension travel (via shorter springs) than you have to make up for it with a bit stiffer spring and damper. Glad he is OK too. Cheers! Mike

Default Yeah, I noticed that even with my KW set to near full stiffness in the back..

I still hit the bumpstops occasionally with quick drops.

My H&R's have almost never hit the bumpstops...and I sometimes have 3 or 4 people in the car.

Default The current valving on my Bilsteins are pretty stiff and i'm having them go one step farther....

The ride is getting pretty bad, but i have noticed the car is not rebounding as bad. They have reworked the compression already and are going to bump it up a bit more. I've been pretty impressed with what they have been able to achieve. This thing is so stiff that i have become more worried about cracking rims than bottoming out. It's probably a silly worry, but this car is really starting to give a loud "crack" over bumps. Cheers! Mike

Default The settings on KW don't affect bump.

They have no bearing on your ability to hit the bumpstops.
The valve setting is only for rebound, so it'll determine how quickly you're ready for the next bump.
