Default Any drivers in CT been nabbed going over 85mph??

Did you get cited for "reckless driving"? What sort of fine and suspension did you get? I'm curious because I've got a lead foot and it's really hard not to drive 85-100 on open highway (left lane of course). I usually take I-91 to and from work in Hartford; rarely ever see state troopers.

I have an old WHISTLER detector, but it doesn't work all the time; any recommendations on what to buy to replace it? I don't want to spend 400 bucks though.

Default What is so good about a V1 anyways?

everyone hypes them up, why?
I realize it uses a different type of scaning than a Bel et al, but a radar detector is a radar detector, isn't it?

Default so instead of spening $400 bucks you'll spend $280 and another $200 in fines and tickets

not to mention insurance premiums.

just get the V1

Or I could just slow down, $400 is outrageous. Could still get tickets with V1.

Default Have same "problem" on 91 and 84 and forgetabout 384...

detector HAS saved me a couple of times, not NEARLY as much as when living in upstate NY.

Spend at least $179-$200. But i'd also recommend Valentine One if 85-100MPH is common. I plan to get one when my current whistler (2 yrs old) needs replacement.

What RD do you recommend for $200 or less? Most of the time I'm driving less than 85
