Any one clone an ECU yet?? Immobilizer III stuff . . .

Has anyone gone to the dealer and had their ECU cloned onto a new or used one?? Our cars have the Immobilizer III system which does not allow ECU swaping unless they are cloned and are matched to the cluster. Anyone do this yet???

perhaps a better question maybe who actually has a second ECU? I don't.

I thought Immobilizer was in the instrament cluster

according to our audi tech thats where it is, It should not matter if you switch the ECU.

Don't you need to go to the dealer each time you want to swap the ECU?

Since VAG-COM does not currently support adaptation for the 2002+ A4's. I guess once they have the capability, all we would need to do is to get the SKC from the dealer.
