Default exhaust dump = no exhaust
meaning no cat, resonators, mufflers, etc.

its gets loud as hell

Default I think exhaust dump is a solenoid attached to a butterfly to bypass your exhaust
it would have to be under the car so in theory after the cat or test pipe and the downpipe.

dagmz6s is correct- bypasses restrictions and is controlled by many variables

Default I haven't seen one, but it would definitely be sweet
I started my car up and reved it a repeatedly when i had the exhaust off installing my milltek and it sounded pretty wicked

Default not necessarily. its just a bypass to open up the exhaust
can be switched open manually or electronically
