Default Any other CAI besides Carbonio ?

I am about to order a Carbonio CF CAI v2.
but i was wondering if there are any other CAI's.
i noticed the M3 from Craig Lieberman had a Gruppe M K&N CF CAI.
but i doubt there is one for a Audi.

btw. i can still use a FMIC and S4 Ecodes with the CAI right ?

why would your ecodes have anything to do with a CAI or IC?

Default None that have proven gains in intake flow....

there is the Evo motorsport one that pulls in hotter air than the stock box, there's the Boostedtech which may be fine but no one has done testing on it and it uses an inferior filter to the carbonio. cheers! Mike

What are the proven gains, do you mean hp numbers? I was looking at the Carbonio as well

Default Dynoing is not the best way to test an intake...

since no one dynoing can replicate the true world airflow of a car under way, but one thing is for sure that an increase in g/s of 15 is giving more power. As an example, when I went from the stage 2 to the MTM K04 stage 3, i gained about 25g/s. Doing a dyno can show numbers but I wouldnt always trust them if it is from the manufacturer as it is VERY easy to take a heatsoaked stock run and compare it to a best of the best modified run and show 10hp when the only thing that has changed is favorable dyno conditions. The proven gains for the carbonio is several independent folks with stage 3+ kits (like Ray Khan) showing well over 30g/s increases just from the carbonio and myself showing about 15g/s increases (and 14g/s increase over KN panel filter). Here is my linky...

cheers! Mike<ul><li><a href="http://www.mjbmotorsport.com/id82.html">Carbonio Intall and Testing</a></li></ul>
