will be buying a set of winter tires & wheels & would need to store the Sport 17" for the winter.

It helps prevent dry rot, etc.
It sounds like you already know about not storing them upright on the floor (creates hard spots on the tires). I ended up keeping mine stacked on their side due to lack of space, and just keep an eye on the tire pressure every so often.

, around 50 I believe, and of course if the need arises, you can then lower it to the correct pressure as soon as is convenient.

in a storage space in my garage.
i tried the trashbag thing and didn't like them b/c they tear so easily. I ponied up the 17 bucks a piece for 4 of the audi vinyl tire storage bags ffrom clair and i am happy with them. just clean you wheels good before storing them.
