Default Any way to soften the A4 sport suspension??

I have an '02 A4 quattro with the sport package, moved to the city recently and have noticed that the sport suspension is really rough for the abysmal quality of roads I have around here. Is there any way to get the suspension softened up? Or do I need to buy a new suspension? Any idea what am I looking at in terms of costs??

Thanks very much for any advice!!

Default You may want to look at 16" wheels instead of the sport 17"s...

16"s would be much less likely to get bent up in potholes, and would also soften your ride a bit.

Default Trade with someone who has a non-sport and wants sport.

Thus free parts you would just have to pay for an install. I am sure someone will take you up on the offer. Cost to install $250-$700 depends on where you live. Be sure to change the matching springs and shocks.

Default Yup, I'd also go with just a wheel tire swap 17"-16" (more) ...

... I have the sport suspension, and I bought a set of 16" wheels for my winter tires. The 16" wheels/tires change the firmness of the ride quite a bit.

This way, you still have all the sport suspension hardware, and if you ever want to get a more responsive ride, you can strap the 17" wheels back on. Also, it will cost less than swapping out all the sport suspension stuff.

Good luck!
