Nice, I was wondering how it would look with the door part still black. It actually looks pretty good! Thats not stock though huh? Looks like a kit? How much did you pay? Thanks

Default You mean like this?

BTW, I can only wish this was my car :^) The "door blades" are an S4 part. There's also an Ultra Sport version that's not quite as projected from the door. I believe Greg (400hpA4) still sells them over on AZ for around $300-$400 a set. US cars come with the door blades painted, but IIRC the Euro versions aren't.

If you're thinking about painting your lowers, I'd recommend European Autotech on Ualena out by the airport. They did a great job on my front end and right quarter panel. I know AoH sends them a lot of their repair work.

Thanks! How much did you pay and how many days down time should I expect? Can't afford to be without my car for long. Thanks

Default Well...

I got my lowers painted in Brooklyn when I was still working in NYC. I think I paid about $700 (which is probably on the high end of the scale). Then again, that paint/clear coat has stood up to a drive from NJ to Socal and 10K miles of driving here.

My job took about 5 days (drop off Monday, pickup Friday), but I'd call a shop for a time/price estimate.

2004's had the option of painted lowers, but i believe 2004.5 was when it was standard
