Default Anybody here w/ the new H11's notice that they kind of "outshine" the HID's?

I just installed my H11 ultra-whites a few days ago, and I love the new look....when its parked.

But my gf, who is a big fan of HID's, says when I drive behind her now, she no longer sees the the bright, purple-bluish-whitish sparkle from my e-codes, but sees a blob of light, and her eyes are drawn towards the "brighter" fog lights. Anyone else notice this?

It looks fine to me when the car is standing still, but I never get to see my car in a rear-view mirror. I have OEM xenon bulbs, and it'd be a shame to have those clouded out by some ultra-white fog lights...

Default That's technically impossible if you compare the specs, so it must be her... :)

Or maybe the fogs are mis-aligned a bit and are in a blinding position...must be something like that. There are many factors that come into play: reflector design, projector design, color temperature, actual brightness and many more. All these things trick the human eye.

Remember that headlights are designed to assist the driver; to light up the road with a minimum amount of glare for other drivers. So the brightness should be judged from behind the steering wheel, not from the outside.

Default You need to re-align the fogs. Mine did same thing and

its because when take the fog assembly out it gets misaligned. Turn them down a notch and report back. it worked for me.

Default I didn't ask for the attention...maybe I'll just have to disable my sig. Saves a lot of repeated...

..questions, AND answers.
