Anyone with a 3.0 ever have this problem.....
car starts up...revs slightly just as it starts and then stalls completely. start it again, everything's fine. dealer has no clue. no chip, no engine mods. ??

ummmmm... yes.. i dont wanna tell you when this happened though
same thing happeneed to me after i hydrolocked my engine. take it to dealer FAST! somethings wrong, could even be a coil pack, but it could be as bad as engine about to blow up (like mine)

Immobilizer issue maybe?
Just a guess because that's the symptom when the Immobilizer fails. The car will start, then abruptly stall. Might be worth mentioning to the dealer...

I have a 1.8T, but I had the same problem...
I took it to the dealer. They said it was a problem that has to do with the immobilizer and the electronics behind it. They kept my car for 3 days and tried to fix it, but when I got it back...the same problem occurs.
Don't know why, but it's been better recently. I haven't tried it for about a month now.

I had all six coilpacks replaced at 10k service.....and...
I have no reason to believe the engine could be hydorlocked. I don't really know the story behind how it happened to you. Can you give me some details, maybe then I can have something to go on.

i only drove through a 3-5 inch deep puddle to get hydrolocked
it got in through the right wheel well. it was about 25 feet long, yet it wasnt deep at all.. we got a lot of rain recently, did you do any of that? hear any clicking when engine starts?

Nah, I mean, I drive the car in the rain...but rarely....
I usually drive my truck in the rain and aim for the deep ones...lol
Seriously though, I'm not getting any of those symptoms. I think I'm just going to take it back to the dealer, and start documenting the issue, and if I have to, eventually, take it to the lemon law level, and get a new one. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the info!
