The engine gets a little louder and there is more vibration around this engine speed for me. It doesn't seem to matter what gear I'm in, or whether I'm accel/deccel through this engine speed. Almost like there is a resonant frequency at this engine speed.

My car only has 150 mi on it, maybe it will smooth out as I continue to break it in.

Yes! I have a few rattles in the dash that I can only hear at that RPM! (1.8TQM)

Me, too. Only no rattles, mostly feel it in the shifter.

Little vibration in shifter but it sure sounds louder than my old '00 1.8

I don't know for sure, but it could be just a resonance of some sort.

Default I actually took it to the dealer to get it checked out

...he said it was normal. I get a buzz at around 2100 RPM and if I hold it at that RPM, it's pretty strong.

Nice to see others have noticed this. I posted about this very topic a while back and no one had experienced it.

Default VT for vermont? If so, where you at?

SB here. If you are, did you buy from lewis? If so, what do you think of them? I personally don't like them. But that's me.

The rattle is the alum trim next to the shifter before the ash tray, goes away when car is warm.

Default Yeah, me too. I thought it might smooth out, but I'm at about 4300 miles now.

It does seem a little better, but maybe I'm just used to it.
