Default There is one particular pump at a gas station near my house that does this to me...

All other nozzles at that station and other stations are fine.

The evap system on that pump must be f'd up.

Default hell yea ..more

i had the same problem but mine didnt go away, i could only fill like 1 gallon at a time, pull nozzle out put it back it etc. Everytime i pulled it out it made a sound like air was releasing. Well dealer changed the fuel tank twice same problem. It turned out the problem was the charcol filter under the car it was clogged.

Default Happened regularly on my '00 A4 (RIP)

It hasn't been as bad on my '03.

I found that if I pulled the nozzle out just a few inches and rotated it from the 6 o'clock position to the 4 or 7 o'clock position it made a big difference.

Default It happens to me once in a while. I find that if I don't stick the whole thing in is better.

One time the nozzle kept on clicking after I locked it in place and wouldn't let me to refuel. I tried to pull it out but it got stuck. I looked like an idiot at the gas station while I was trying to pull that thing out (the whole damn car was shaking) and then eventually scratched my hand.

The other time the same thing happened and fuel was actually spitting out of that freaking hole after I pulled the nozzle out. Gas was all over my car, floor, and my shoes. =\
