I'm starting to look for a 1.8T and would appreciate any tips on where to get the best price (and which salesperson to see) in the SF Bay Area. I see some have paid $500 over invoice. Thanks

there's such a wide swing between levels of service around here, I'd pick service over a few dollars anyday. Some people recommend Rector, others Andersen, and I'm happy with my experience at Carlsen (Rob Hall).

For 500 over invoice I could have flown from NY, driven it home and still saved money. (including gas, tolls and a night in Vegas) good luck.

Try carsdirect.com. They're price is pretty much as close to invoice as you could get. It's tough to get the 1.8T close to invoice. The 3.0 is more flexible. Find the internet/Fleet salespersons and dealers in your area (Carsdirect, carpoint.com), and work with them. They're direct and won't really play jedi mind tricksn you. Good luck

two different things. If looking for a 1.8t, even $1000 over invoice will be hard to find in the Bay area. Sport package 1.8t ? Forget it, you'll be paying more now. Prices at their lowest between Nov/Dec and Feb/May.
