seems to be a little loose. When I'm driving I can feel it vibrating. Is there some way I can fix this myself?

Default Area, guys -> "The area on the steering wheel..." To answer, search for steering wheel rattle...

or airbag rattle. I know I've read about this before. There might even be a TSB on it. If you DIY be very careful.
