Curious to know if any of you have had any trouble w/ the sound from the driver's side front speakers(non-Bose). I had the dealer look at it earlier this week and they replaced a speaker, but the problem retured a couple of days later. (It sounds as if the speaker cuts out randomly) Anyone else have this problem? If so can you tell me if the solution was isolated to the speaker or if it is actually something wrong with the unit.

The head unit either needed to be replaced, or just a firmware update. I forget which.

(it was just a bad tweeter for some others though)

My dealer replaced my head unit, and the problem went away.

Then they had to replace the second head unit again, and the problem came back.

Audi (or their supplier) is having alot of problems with their head units.

They fixed mine by putting some electrical lube on the contacts at the back of the head

on the 4th of July. I checked the manual out and put the codes back in and it worked. Not a problem since. I did have a problem with my right speaker once but it hasn't come back.
