Default Anyone on here tow a WaveRunner with the A4 1.8t?

I am about to purchase a waverunner and going to pull it with this car? Anyone know how well it does? The only thing I have worried is pulling out of the ramp since the car bogs easy on a up hill incline. It's a 5spd.

Where are you getting the hitch form? I'm thinking about doing the same to the Avant....

Just curious, do you think it would fit inside an Avant?

Default I pull a dirtbike with my B5 sedan, no problem...

I got a Da'Lan hitch for it, and bought a lightweight trailer from Harbor Freight. I'd say total weight of trailer+bike is around 500 pounds.

Default Local place has them. Not sure what brand but doesn't require cutting bumper

and it bolts right up. $150 installed.

The A4 is rated to tow quite a bit for a car of its type- and a waverunner isn't TOO heavy- IMO O.K.

Default No, I took it to a hitch place and they did it for me...

The rear bumper has to be removed to do the installation, which is why I didn't do it myself. The guy charged me $90 including the wiring for the trailer lights.

I guess I'm used to the old stand-up ones. Maybe if I remove the passenger seat...gotta go!
