Be carefull, make shure they tap the trailer's +12v into the *assigned* Audi spot.
Someone on the >other< side of the family installed a trailer hitch onto mother-in-laws A6, did a ****ty job mechanicly, plus tapped into her (get this!) transmission power supply. When she hit the brakes, the surge went through her transmission controler unit via the brake light switch. If that is not bad enough the lead wire got closed in the hatch and shorted out. Well it did not blow the 20A in-line fuse the idiot installed, but blew the fuse for the trans controller AND the TC itself! $600 a n3 weeks later it happened again! Audi repaired it for free under it's parts warranty, lucky they did not figure out what happened or would have denied it. All the electrics are inter-connected in these cars. All this, and there is a provision for trailer lights clearly marked in the *2nd* fuse box. (under hood in this case)

Check with Delan for your application. It's the most commonly used on Audis.
You can tow at least 1600lbs with an unbraked trailer.<ul><li><a href="http://www.curtmfg.com/News%20Bulletin.html">http://www.curtmfg.com/News%20Bulletin.html</a</li></ul>
