Default What kind of ****? If Momo, read on...

I haven't done this in my new car yet, but I came up with the "Coke Bottle Mod" for my last car, which seems to have done the trick for some people...

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/7767/bottlemod.jpg">

The basic idea is that the top of the coke bottle provides a lip for the top of the boot to rest snug against, just below the ****. The whole thing works because the Momo **** will thread itself right into the top of the coke bottle, effectively squeezing the collar of the boot between the top of the bottle cap and the ****. Here's the finished product in my '98...

Does this help?

Default I don't think that will work on the 02's........b/c

Our shift ***** don't screw on, they are now clamped on. There is a groove in the actualy rod that holds the shifter. I have not tried to re-attach the old clamp, but if done correctly, I don't see why you could not. If not you may have to buy another clamp.

So trying to attach the boot the aftermarket shift ****, there is one person who has done it, but I don't remember his name.

Default Well, this 'mod' would be transferable to the SS once you get it, so you could do it now or later...

Momo ***** secure themselves to the shift shaft with three set-screws, which means they will work with both the stock shifter and the SS kit shifter, both in the same manner.

Did you buy the **** already? Give it a shot and if you're not happy, put it back to stock. The best part about the coke bottle mod is that it only costs $.05! :&gt

BTW, I'm waiting for both a SS and a Momo **** to arrive. Whichever one gets here first will get installed first...

Default Sure it will. Momo ***** use 3 set screws to secure themselves to the shaft...

The coke bottle top and the boot are suspended by the ****, which is anchored to the shaft. It creates a suprisingly stock look...
