Obviously not, since the instructions are for programming the head unit to not use the Bose equalization settings. The non-Bose system wouldn't use those equalization settings in the first place.

I meant, is there a similar adjustment that can be made to the non bose system that anyone knows about?

Ah ok; Well, the best bet would be if someone finds the hidden EQ for the new head unit - if there even is one anymore. Otherwise, there's no known tweaks for it yet other than customizing the three band EQ to your liking... :/

I'll try it once I get my VAG-COM set up for accessing stuff on the 2nd K-wire. I can't access the radio as it is now.
