anyone take their car to dealer to fix door rattles?
Car is rattling over rough roads and is annoying. My brothers 99' 328i never rattles. Has anyone ever mentioned this to the dealer, and if so, did they resolve it? Thanks,

Just picked up my car...rattle was gone...10min later, it's back (m)...
the invoice says the rattle was "coming from heat shield on driver's side below driver's feet. Put car on lift, repositioned heat shield, road test, rattle gone".
They neglected to add that they managed to scuff the leather on the passenger seat *sigh*. So it's going back in next week to fix the rattle again and repair the leather.
About the rattle reappearing. When I first heard the problem, I was able to create the rattle just by letting out the clutch in 1st gear from a stop. So I left the dealership and all was well. Drove about 15 miles on the highway, fvcking rattle is back.
The service adviser/manager there is super nice, but I'm starting to feel like the tech's suck. So I'm not sure what to do when I get surveyed. On a side note, my buddy took his S4 in for an oil change. On the way home his oil light came on...he was < 1 quart low. I won't get into his saga.
Overall I've been pretty happy with everything so as long as they get it right in under 10 visits I'll be happy. They did confirm rattles are only covered up to 1yr/12k miles, hopefully this isn't an ongoing problem. I guess I need to save my repair invoices.
