Default Anyone tried the BEL 904 LaserPro laser jammer?

According to all the research I've done this is the number One laser jammer available. I was just wondering where you would mount these exterior units on the car (especially is you don't have front plate).

Opinions?

Default Mount the transmitters as close to the front headlights as possible.

Police are trained to use the license plate as a primary target, and the headlights as a secondary target. The laser beam width is about 18" at 500 feet, so you want the laser transmitter to be as close as possible to the area the police are targeting, so your laser jammer has an opportunity to:
1. Detect the laser signal.
2. Jam the laser signal (can't happen unless #1 takes place).

For those that do have a front license plate, mount each of the transmitters midway between the front plate and the headlight...or as close to that orientation as you can possibly get.

Default I usually don't like radartest.com because they don't like the V1, but...

according to them they rank the Bel above the Blinder (second).

speedzones.com doesn't really have a laser jammer test. They do talk about the Blinder as being good, but that's about it. I know Audiworld did a write up on the Lidatek jammer a few months back which sounded good.

I'm just thinking about it at this point. I'd like to have one, but mounting all this outside **** is the problem. I think it will look like ****!

Default It won't look like crap if you do it right.

First, I would question the value of a rear laser transmitter...most police don't tag you from behind.

That leaves the front two transmitters. You could cut the black plastic trim next to the fog lights to make room for these units. They are black, so it should be fairly discrete. The only other issue is fabricating any necessary supports behind the bumper to hold the transmitter in place, and running the wiring through the engine bay, into the car to the control unit. Make sure you seal any wire running into the passenger cabin, or water may follow the cable through the firewall into the car and make a giant mess in the car.

It's probably easier to remove the bumper and examine the bumper so you can fashion some kind of support bracket for the transmitters...but it's also possible that you can remove the grills and poke around. Maybe you'll figure something out without removing the entire bumper?
