Anyone's radio turn up by its self?
driving to work this morning I was shocked when the radio turned up by its self. the funny thing was that I was just about to reach down and turn it up, but to my surprise I didn't need to touch the **** ;-)! Damn these cars are smart. Maybe i should turn the ESP switch off?

Automatic feature...
the faster you get, the volume raises to compensate for the wind/road noise. So.. at 30mph-60mph, volume will increase by 4 levels just to make up for all that extra road/wind noise.

is that something that's can be turned off and on?
cuz i don't know if mine does that... haven't really noticed it, although, I hardly ever have to change the volume, so it may be doing it without my noticing... just figured the cabin was always pretty quiet

Yes you can. It's the SVC setting, which you can turn off.
Hold the Menu button down for a couple seconds, and you'll get the extended menu which starts with "SVC: x" The higher the value of "x" the more automatic compensation the radio gives you. There is also an "OFF" setting.
(Hit the Menu button again while in the extended menu to get to the other stuff.)
(FYI, I'm talking about the Symphony stereo. I have no clue about the Bose.)

ESP switch has nothing to do with the radio, dont turn it off
the esp should be left on unless you aref trying to race at a light or something in which case you dont want power to be lost but in regular driving leave it on cause you never know when you are gonna need it to bail you out of a slip
