APR Chip & Lease return
Hi all,
My 2000 A4 is up for return (where I'll be swapping it for a 03 1.8t Avant) and I have an APR chip installed.
I can tune it to normal mode as many know, but the interface remains encrypted. I'm thinking I should either tell the dealer, or pay to have it returned to normal.
Anyone been through this before and have any tips on what the dealers might do if I told them

Either put the car back to factory stock, or tell dealer.
There's been a few lawsuits where a person buys a used car thinking it is stock, has a factory warranty, and then gets denied when they go in for a warranty item. They've sued either the dealer who didn't disclose it (if the dealer knew), or the previous owner of the car.
