APR Stage 1+ vs. stock program dyno...
Guys, with your infinite collective wisdom, can you give me some advice (facts and opinions welcome). I'm planning the APR Stage 1+ upgrade this week, followed by some dyno runs next week. I'm getting the 93 Octane and the Stock program from APR. When I do my dyno runs, I'll get 4 pulls.
My question, is APR's 'stock' program a fair comparison to a truely stock car (keeping in mind 1+ includes injectors)? I wanted to do my 1st and 3rd pull in APR Performance mode, and 2nd/4th pull in stock mode. But I'm wondering if it's even worth doing any stock pulls since I will technically have APR's stock program as opposed to Audi's, and larger injectors - which I understand there is some debate whether or not a K03 produces any benefits from different injectors.
I'd like to dyno my car before any mods but at $200 a pop it's hard for me to justify, especially when you take into account the air temp, and type of gas in my tank on any given day. As I said, I welcome any advice you can offer. Thanks.
I'm not interested in debating which programmer is better between REVO, GIAC, MTM, APR, etc....I'm going with APR on the simple fact the shop is local and it's Audi doing the flashing. Thanks again.

I understand wanting a baseline
but why not just do two runs with the new program?
"stock" pulls are well documented here on AW.
my $.02 but I am just teh noob. Whadda I know?

Re: APR Stage 1+ vs. stock program dyno...
My understanding is that the APR "Stock" program is really a watered down performance program so that with the larger injectors will not provide an accurate base line. You are really best to bite the bullet and dyno bone stock then get the programming done and re-run the car.

The APR programming will be done at an Audi dealership...
which is listed as an authorized APR dealer on APR's website. I'm purchasing 2 programs, the APR 93 Octane (Stage 1+) and APR stock program. I'm not having them flash me back to the stock Audi program at anytime.

I want baseline from same car on same dyno...
not all dyno's are equal, and not everyone's car is the same. My car will likely yield two different graphs on 2 different dynos. I'm looking for the most practical approach but I don't think there is a FAIR way to do this w/out spending some extra cash.

Why bother with the stock map? You'll never use it. Get the race map. More fun.
I had the stop and 93 maps and I never used the stock. So when the V2 update came out I was told I could get any 2 maps to replace the ones I had. So I got the 93 and 100 (race) maps...The race map is cool. pulls like a mo fo
