good points. for relatively the same amount of power, i'd pick the S4 any day.

Default 2sweet- my A4 set up

As mentioned, software is from REVO. We started with the large turbo software, (E05) and worked from there. Mostly driving time to make adjustments in timing, boost, fuel etc. Once FMIC was installed, we made additional adjustments, (adding timing too) and car really began to wake up. This software is saved on REVO's computer. I have free flow exhaust system, (custom) Nuespeed high flow exhaust manifold, 225 TT injectors, Forge DV, K&N, no cat/test pipe, Thermo-Tec wrapped. Turbo, manifold, test pipe(really helps gasses flowing faster and underhood temps reduced by hundreds of degrees). Boost gauge. Turbo is a machined sport K03 with a 42mm compresor upgrade and 10 degree turbine clip, (flows more air then Nuespeeds super K04 and cost about $865 for everything). Eurocode FMIC with silicone hoses.

upper 30s? No. Low 40s, yes. If you have the money for the S4 just do it.

Default sounds interesting...

what kind of boost are you seeing? How many miles have you been running it, do you anticipate any similar problems with your custom k03 that the e05 is known for? thats cool you put your own thing together like that, what about it has you thinkin bout going bigger/different? You have any dyno #'s? Sorry for 20 q's, just curious as we dont get to many custom setups round here

I enjoy the questions as I spent a long time, (and money) figuring out how this was going to happen. Of course, later came other kits and ideas but I already had this going and for less $$. I peak about 18-19 PSI, (used to be around 22 psi) but with new FMIC and larger plumbing, boost pressure is a little less,(as it's not being "squeezed" through old IC and hosing).
I have over 50K on car and new turbo was installed about 25K ago. No problems and it runs, (and sounds great). I had designed for mid range as it pulls with a lot of torque from 2200-4200 RPM) The E05 did have issues, but started with this software as its' flow rate is higher. No dyno work though- However, if you do the math, (and comparisons to other set ups) I'm real close +/- a few ponies. Great torque though as the tuner from REVO was impressed.
Next setup? I don't know, I enjoyed building this, (and have done some for others) especially getting them the turbo. It's great as it bolts right back to stock and no one can tell it's any different then stock, (until you drive and hear/feel the difference). Was thinking about an S4 or getting creative with another A4. Nothing soon as I really enjoy my car and I find myself pulling away from traffic lights with just a 1/4 throttle, (and a smile).
