ATF question: what might cause ATF to turn black in less than a month/400km?

if the tc doesn't lockup when commanded the RPM SLIP will be detected and logged
believe it or not these cars do measure the RPM on both sides of the torque converter to keep an eye on things like TC or clutch-pak slipping.
