I used to have a 99.5 A4 V6 2.8, and after 3 years/50K miles after my warranty ran out I sold it because of constant glitches that required me to take it in for service.
Now I'm eyeing a A4 2.0T and am wondering if I'll have the same problems or if Audi has cleaned up their act!
I really liked my old Audi, I just didn't want to empty my wallet constantly after the warranty expired.
Anyone with a 2-3 year old car have any comments?
Thanks!

You can check the B7 forum to see about reliability, but it would only be initial as this is a 2005.5 car. If you are looking for a used car, on the B6 platform with the 1.8T you can get a lot of great response here.

and actually just took it in last week for its first non-service, non-mod/mod related work (water pump failed), so I'd have to say that in my experience, if you take good care of the car, Audis will last a while. On the other hand though, I only have 30,000 miles on my car, so that might be why i've experienced fewer issues

Audi has focused on improving reliability for the last several years and it is starting to show in the customer surveys. Last survey I say had BMW, Mercedies and Volkswagon are all near the bottom of the list and Audi right below the top Japanese manufacturers.
Interesting that Audi's sister company VW is at the opposite end of the spectrum. Supports stories that Audi upper management is very set on improving reliability. I have read stories about meetings to address common failures where no one leaves until there is an acceptable fix to the problem.
