Default Audi A4 named among the "worst" at protecting against whiplash

Our audis performed worse then even chevy malibus in a test for how passengers would fair in a rear-end collision.

This is one aspect of our car that I was never entirely comfortable with...

"The other 30 received the institute's worst rating, poor, indicating the highest likelihood of neck injury in a rear-impact crash. Among those were the seats in the Audi A4 and S4, the BMW 3 Series, the Dodge Neon and the Jaguar X-type"<ul><li><a href="http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/11/14/vehicles.whiplash.ap/index.html">http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/11/14/vehicles.whiplash.ap/index.html</a</li></ul>

Default The 02 and 03 cars were rated as good while the 04 got a poor with the same seats.

I don't get it.<ul><li><a href="http://www.iihs.org/vehicle_ratings/head_restraints/head_audi.htm">http://www.iihs.org/vehicle_ratings/head_restraints/head_audi.htm</a</li></ul>

I think this time they crashtested with a dummy - 02/03 rating based on seat geometry only-no crash
