Why is that audi has such crappy advertisments for their cars.
the new bmw x5 ad with the 'guardian angels' supporting the awd, is awesome. Audi should have been the one making ads like that, considering we have the history of putting awd (quattro) in our cars way back in the 80s.
VW comes out with awesome ad campaigns for all their models. Not sure if any of you have seen the new phateon ad. Its simply amazing.
Why dont the same people who make the VW ads make them for Audi too!!!
After all they are the same company. Some might say Audi is a separte unit by itself, but that doesn't mean Audi can't use the same companies VW uses for its ad campaign.
Audi are such beautiful cars (maybe low powered) but still beautiful in design (exterior and interior). I think they need to start representing this and articulating it more clearly to their consumers.
Its painful to see crappy tv ads from Audi, whereas the parent company (VW) keeps all the good ads for themselves.
just my thoughts for the day!!

I think i know what you are talking about.
But is Audi is trying to sell its car in the sport + luxury segement. How is it going to win buyers based on 'old' rally cars.

Cadillac and Mercedes pushing their wares as Christmas gifts (ironic since the A4 is my wife's Christmas gift) and the Durango commercial: "...son, can you say Hemi?".

What are they implying? Their car puts power to all 4 wheels only in slippery conditions? That's nothing new. Part time 4 wheel drive has been around for years. Fvckers.
More misleading stuff:
Check out "Four Seasons." Now tell me, how is AWD helping the G35 avoid the obstacle? Seems more like stability control and snow tires to me, since AWD doesn't do anything when you're not putting power to the wheels (which you wouldn't do while trying to swerve around something like that).

http://www.infiniti.com/content/model/ModelGallery/0,,30648,00.html</a
