You couldn't care less but you use a handheld GPS. That sounds like a contradiction.

If they buy a car because of a stupid wooden steering wheel then they deserve to own a crappy japanese car. I'll continue to hope and believe that there are more intelligent people out there!

is a German tradeshow organizer. I'm their North America consultant. They refuse to take my suggestions about how to better promote their shows (yet they still pay me!) in the U.S. marketplace, even though I'm a 100% American and know what the American buyer wants when he/she visits a tradeshow.
When I get time, I'll post some of the "Germinglish" articles they want to send to U.S. buyers and media--it's an absolute joke.
When I tell them these things CANNOT be sent, they basically say, "So what. We think they're fine, and so should everybody else." It's frustrating for me, because I know their shows are good, it's just that show leadership in Germany does not adapt to the geographical markets.
Even though German Cars are deemed "driver cars," in the U.S. they should equally adapt to our consumer preferences, i.e. a MAP with navigation. Not only are the Japanese mfrs. doing it, so is everybody else!
OK, I'm done now!

...the location. I don't wrestle with the map along the way. I actually REMEMBER the route and where I'm going. Maybe that's too much to do for or expect from the MENTALLY CHALLENGED. What's tragic are all the IDIOTS who get into accidents f*cking around with the Nav system instead of watching the road. Or who get hopelessly lost when the Nav is wrong and strands them somewhere unexpected. But then they did get their advice from Dogbert in the first place. Sheesh!

i used it on rental cars. i didn't need a car to drive to work anymore so i sold my old beater--but the gps works wonders.
when they came out with CAR PHONES, everyone wanted a phone they could carry around. I think the same thing with NAV/GPS. I can't bring my car up when I'm hiking or overseas for that matter. Same with the phone--you couldn't bring it into the house.
umm--i lost my point...
