Anyone with a VW who moved up to an Audi get the loyalty money that VW/Audi is offereing for repeat buyers?

A friend who is looking for an Audi A4 said that VW would waive the end of lease fee's if he got another VW/Audi, so I figured that means since I had a VW and bought an Audi I should be entitled to the loyalty money (only $250 but would be nice).

Has anyone done this? Should I give a call into AoA Customer Service?

IIRC its $500 w/in 1 yr of buying from the same dealer, $250 otherwise
